First created in 1972, Chaumes is a cheese made in the Dordogne, an area well-known for its gastronomic culture and beautiful rolling countryside.
It owes its name to its beautiful colour reminiscent of harvested wheat and golden straw.

Chaumes is a cheese full of character, slowly matured over time. Like the sun on the harvest, it reveals in its golden rind, a rich aroma and intense flavour. Chaumes is a rich cheese which smells deliciously of rustic land; its rind is washed and brushed during the maturation process to develop its ferments.

Its unique flavour reflects the expertise of master cheese-makers.
